Scandal addressed during Upland State of the City

UPLAND - Newly appointed Mayor Ray Musser shared his plans to move the city past recent scandals and reviewed several city accomplishments during his first State of the City address Tuesday at the George M. Gibson Senior Center.

Musser addressed some of the recent news that has resulted in a loss and reorganization of leadership, including former Mayor John Pomierski's indictment and the city manager's placement on paid leave of absence.

"Understandably for some, Upland has been operating under a cloud of disillusion, uncertainty and distrust of its leaders," he said. "Our employees have gone above and beyond our expectations to maintain an exceptional level of service to the community during this difficult time."
