Upland firefighters to Fill-the-Boot

The Upland Professional Firefighters local 3477 will be holding a Fill-the-Boot fundraiser from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. April 9 and 10 on behalf of the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

Upland firefighters have been filling the boot for nearly 10 years and have raised enough money to send hundreds of local kids to MDA summer camp.

Fire figthers will stand on high profile street corners asking passers-by and motorists to drop lose change and dollar bills into their boots.

All proceeds will benefit the Southeast Los Angeles/San Bernardino County Chapter of the Muscular Dystophy Association.

Upland firefighters will collect donations at 19^th Street and Campus Avenue as well as 8^th street and Mountain Avenue.
