Upland Unified School District enrolling students in Step Up Preschool program

The Upland Unified School District is enrolling three and four-year-old students in its Step Up Preschool program for the 2011-12 school year.

The program is at Sierra Vista Elementary School at 253 E. 14th St. in Upland.

Step Up Preschool is $15 a day and classes are held Monday through Thursday.

The District's 2010-11 Step Up Preschool program was honored by the California School Board Association with a Golden Bell Award.

The Golden Bell Award promotes excellence in education by recognizing outstanding programs in school districts and county offices of education throughout the state, according to the Association's Web site.
