Foothill Family Shelter hosting e-waste recycling event

Foothill Family Shelter will hold a free e-waste event from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 4 at their office, 1501 W. Ninth St. Ste. D in Upland.

Donations of used and non-working electronics will help the Shelter raise money for at-risk families in the community. 

Electronic items accepted include:
cell phones
television sets
laptops
printers
fax machines
cameras
copiers
LCDs
vacuums
Plasma televisions
scanners
VCRs
DVDs

Items not to be accepted include: large household appliances, batteries, florescent light bulbs, glass, wood and tires.

Paper, plastic as well as old electronic gadgets can now be turned into something useful or entertaining thanks to those who have made efforts in helping us deal with what most of us consider as trash already.
