Volunteers needed to help count homeless population

| |

The city is looking for volunteers to participate in the "Point-In-Time Count" from 5 a.m. to 11 a.m. Feb. 22 throughout the city.

The Count will help the city, in conjunction with San Bernardino County's Office of Homeless Services, count and provide a needs assessment survey for sheltered as well as unsheltered homeless within the city.

The survey will assist the city in providing services to help the homeless population and prevent future homelessness.

All are being encouraged to volunteer including county and city employees, service providers, faith based organizations, college students, civic organizations, bilingual citizens as well as anyone with a heart for the homeless population.
