San Antonio Community Hospital will host a seminar on "Why do healthy people have heart attacks?" from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 28 at the Landecena Community Center, 1325 San Bernardino Rd. in Upland.
Cardiologist Roger Duber will teach attendees about the latest noninvasive tests that are much better for identifying high risk patients and their likelihood of a future heart attack.
Duber will also discuss intangible risk factors such as stress and other psychosocial aspects of heart disease.
Hospital staff will be available for blood pressure screenings and body mass index readings.

The Upland Public Library is holding their third workshop on downloading library books to e-readers from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Feb. 13.
Library users can learn how to sign up and log on to the library's digital library to check-out books for Nook, Kindle and iPad.
The workshop will be in the multipurpose room at 450 N. Euclid Ave.

San Antonio Community Hospital will host a lecture and healthy heart cooking demonstration for women's heart health from 6 to 9 p.m. Feb. 7 at the Landecena Community Center, 1325 San Bernardino Road in Upland.
Cardiologist Fatima Hakkak will teach participants how heart disease differs for women and will show them how to recognize the signs of a heart attack as well as how knowing "your numbers" can decrease risk.
San Antonio Community Hospital's executive chefs will demonstrate how to prepare quick and easy heart-smart foods at home.
Light appetizers will be served.

The Upland Highland Regiment Boosters will host a "Food Truck Frenzy" from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Feb. 18 at Cable Airport, 1749 W. 13th St. in Upland.
Attendees will enjoy a day of food, entertainment, vendors, a fun zone and music.
Entry is $5. Kids under 5 years old can enter for free.
Dale Bros. Brewery of Upland will have a beer garden.
There will also be numerous food trucks.
