Two Winners, One Trophy

The USC womens track team tied Stanford for first place in last weekends West Regional at Brigham Young. But the always-prepared NCAA provided only one trophy for the event.
So what did the organization do to solve the problem? It flipped a coin. USC won the flip and brought home the trophy while Stanford went home empty-handed.
Maybe the BCS could have taken that scientific approach with the crystal football in 2003 when USC and LSU each claimed a share of the national championship.
