UPDATED: During his on-campus visit Thursday, basketball recruit O.J. Mayo found time to play several pickup games with USC players Nick Young, Lodrick Stewart, Jeremy Barr, incoming freshman Taj Gibson and a group of Stoneridge Prep players including Mamadou Diarra, Babacar Sylla and Thomas Ibraham.
Diarra, who is still learning English, said he was impressed with Mayo.
“Hes a good player. We played two games together and we won both, Diarra said.
Diarra wants to attend USC while Sylla said he wants to stay in Los Angeles. Ibraham is only a junior. Gibson is still awaiting his ACT score to determine his eligibility but still has the option of attending summer school, to increase his GPA and potentially lower the necessary test score.
