Here’s some Sunday night comments from USC coach Pete Carroll:

On the running game: “The offense did not run nearly as well (this week). We didnt get the ball to (Emmanuel) Moody as much as we would like. We need a better mix at running back.’

On the defense: “It was not nearly the pass rush we hoped to get. They played really well and we werent getting the ball from them. Their execution on that (hurry-up touchdown) drive was perfect.”

On Washington’s 4-1 start: “Thats a great, great start. Theyre playing well in all areas. Tyrone Willingham’s done a great job. The programs in high spirits.”
