A Record Falls

Purdue wide receiver Selwyn Lymon caught eight passes for 238 yards against Notre Dame, which broke former USC wide receiver John Jackson’s opponent-yardage record of 200 yards receiving against the Irish at South Bend on Oct. 21, 1989. That Notre Dame team was ranked No. 1.
Jackson still shares the record for receptions in a game (14) with two other players.
