Wide receiver Steve Smith sprained his left ankle. X-rays were negative and he appeared fine afterward. Safety Taylor Mays suffered a shoulder stinger and linebacker Oscar Lua bruised his leg, neither injury was considered serious.
More curious is why wide receiver Dwayne Jarrett (sprained shoulder) played. He could not continue after halftim and said he was too sore to continue.
“It affected me,” Jarrett said. “I’m hoping it’s better next week.”
“I don’t know what Dwayne’s situation will be,” Pete Carroll said. “Maybe he can play, maybe he can’t.”
