One Last Look

More than two hours after USC defeated Notre Dame, Pete Carroll drove his car down the Coliseum ramp, parked next to the end zone and walked to the middle of the field.
One immediate thought was maybe Carroll took a last look at the Coliseum, before say, departing USC.
“That’s not what it was,” Carroll said.

“I’ve done it over the years at a lot of places. After all of the noise and the energy of the game, I’ve always loved going back into stadiums. I felt that was the right time to do it. I’ve done it a handful of times, mostly after special games. I just think it’s a very peaceful moment. I try to visualize what was there and what was going on and
everything that was happening.”
