Last week, USC Pete Carroll called Sid Hartman, a columnist who is a local institution in Minneapolis, and asked for some help endorsing Lane Kiffin for the the Minnesota job. There are about 15 candidates and Wisconsin offensive coordinator Paul Christ and Oklahoma defensive coordinator Brent Venables are considered the frontrunner.
