There’s been a bit of a backlash from USC fans to basketball coach Tim Floyd offering a scholarship to an eighth-grader and getting a commitment last week. But how many of these same people would complain if Pete Carroll got an eighth-grade quarterback to commit?
Who would be protesting if Jimmy Clausen (already well known while in junior high) committed to USC in eighth grade?
