Cuse Comment

Here’s Syracuse coach Greg Robinson, who we doubt will be around in 2011, commenting on playing USC.

“I say this all the time, Syracuse is a national program and Syracuse plays teams all over America always has and always will, Robinson said. To play Southern California, one of the top two or three teams in the country year in and year out, I think its a wonderful challenge. I think it is also something that is an appeal to the young student-athletes who we are recruiting. They have a chance to play against Penn State, Boston College, Northwestern, and, now they have a chance to play against Southern Cal. They have a chance to play against a lot of teams other than the Big East. I think the kind of players we are recruiting, it is exciting. I think the players we have in this program are excited about playing those kinds of teams.
“We have a wonderful fan base in Southern California, so to go out there and play is great. And, to get the Trojans to come to the Dome will be a wonderful thing for us, too. Were excited about it, just as we are with a number of national teams we are playing. The key is we have to get ourselves up to that level, so that we are competing and working to win.
