What made the performance of wide receiver Damian Williams (and Mitch Mustain) at the weekend scrimmage so worthwhile?
The fact it was a mid-Decemeber scrimmage. Usually, these are dreary affairs where even coaches don’t learn a whole lot, as players face each other for the fourth straight month. But the Arkansas duo jumped out with their dynamic play (and even surprised the coaches).
Yes, it was against the reserves. But the type of plays made were not just a case of a guy being open, but making eye-opening plays. And these guys already did their thing in the SEC. OK, there’s my positive post for the day.
