ESPNU, a channel I never watch, is going to telecast games featuring players who wore No. 5 on Cinco de Mayo. Naturally, Reggie Bush’s 2005 game against UCLA will be telecast.
But ESPNU is also going to show USC’s victory over Arizona in basketball.
ESPNU said it’s televising that game in honor of O.J. Mayo. He wore 32, but I guess they couldn’t resist the “Mayo.”
I’m stunned they didn’t mention the real Cinco de May tie-in was Davon Jefferson, who wore No. 5. But then Tim Floyd probably wouldn’t watch.
