Here’s the final answers as the anti-transparency crowd remains upset about this forum.
Q: Scott, you have recently stated that another high-profile member of the athletic dept. has emailed regarding Song Girlgate. What did that email say? Was it another threat? What has been the athletic dept.’s reaction to the recent photo scandals of Song Girls engaging in tacky poses? Are they aware that these photos had nothing to do with this blog nor its readers and that the Song Girls have been embarrassing themselves on their own? Is the athletic dept. now more paranoid than ever with the salacious and tawdry acts of the Song Girls of this decade?
A: The email expressed frustration at the fact this topic remains popular on this blog and asked that all comments be eliminated. As recently as yesterday, I received reports of people within the dept. trying to think of ways to end this debate on this blog, so I’ll probably hear some suggestions/threats when football camp opens officially. They don’t know that I know they are talking about this, but it’s become a major nuisance, I hear.
It’s become pretty sad to see how some are handling this.Things are pretty paranoid right now and people are trying not to say anything about the pictures because it would only add fuel to our fire.
Q: Speaking of Sarah Carmona, she’s the teen program facilitator at Girls Inc. of Orange County. Not exactly the person we want counseling at risk teen girls, is she?
A: I don’t really have a comment since I do not know the facts here.
