Answer Friday, Part III

It’s hot and sunny in Virginia, which is better than last night when it seemed like thunderstorms never ceased.

Q: TJ Bryant, didn’t hear much about him in Fall camp. But, he was a big-time recruit, arguable our top recruit. Maybe it means your doing your job if you name isn’t mentioned much at CB. We are awesome 2 deep at CB, but all of these guys have had injuries too. How did TJ do and is he ready to contribute positively if called upon this season? Did he live up to his hype from HS?

A: He had a decent camp but with four guys who all have at least three years of experience, he probably won’t see the field unless there are injuries. I’m not sure if he will redshirt because Pete Carroll might want to get him some playing time for next season.

Q: On scout.com 2008 signee Daniel Campbell is listed as a commit for this class, but rivals does not list him. So what do you make of this if Campbell is eligible and will Perry and McNeal be able to do this if they don’t qualify this year?

A: He is free to go to any school he wants if he meets the academic requirements at his prep school in Virginia. Maybe he’ll be at the game tomorrow! Frankly, he was behind the other freshman line recruits, so his absence is not that critical. USC can still sign him next year, if they want him. Same with Perry and McNeal, if they do not qualify.
