Flight To Oregon

Oregon State coach Craig Robinson was on our flight up here for the game. Robinson, as you probably know, is the brother-in-law of presidential candidate Barack Obama.
He is also a former Ivy League Player of the Year and just coached two seasons at Brown, which is also in the Ivy League.
With that background, I asked Robinson if he was ready to compete against the “scumbags of the Pac-10.” (Hey, time is short. I need to cut to the chase).
But then I realized he worked on Wall Street before getting into coaching, so I think he’ll survive just fine.
Robinson was friendly and quite knowledgeable on a variety of topics. He will be interviewed at halftime of tonight’s game on ESPN.
