I never got around to mentioning how stressed out some media/officials were at halftime in the pressbox at Reser Stadium. The calm facade broke down real fast with USC trailing 21-0 and panic was the official mood.

Heberer Ailing
Pete Carroll said offensive lineman Zack Heberer could be “out awhile” with a sprained toe. Alex Parsons would replace him.
Lineup Shuffles
Damian Williams and Ronald Johnson will get more playing time at wide receiver and the tailback rotation might change, depending on the game plan. Obviously, Stafon Johnson could see an increased role.
We were told it depends on whether USC wants to hammer an opponent (Johnson, C.J. Gable) or attack them with speed (Joe McKnight). I asked why you wouldn’t always want to hammer an opponent but didn’t really get an answer.
Oh, and the backup quarterback job is open again! Shocking!
