This is one of the first pictures I’ve seen with a proper view of what looks like the old Bovard Field. Many of us are too young to ever see this field, which used to be the main athletic field. It was taken by Loomis Dean in 1951 and is part of the recently released Life magazine collection available on Google.

Sunday Night With Caesar
Here’s the first of a week’s worth of bland quotes between Pete Carroll and Norm Chow.
“He’s a really good coach,” Carroll said of Chow. “He’s proven to be one of the great coaches in college football. It’ll be a challenge.
“We’re fellow coaches who had a great time together and he moved on and now he is back. I like stuff like thus. I like going against guys I know.”
Carroll On Texas

“That makes no sense to me,” he said. “said. “They’re going to say the other team (Oklahoma) is better when they played head-to-head (and Texas won)?”
Jackson Status
Pete Carroll said he was not sure if Malik Jackson would be eligible to play against UCLA. Jackson was ejected from the end of the Notre Dame game.
“I don’t know if it’s an automatic deal or not,” Carroll said.
Uniform Issue
