Something’s amiss. Football questions outnumber song girl questions.

Q: I can understand why there might be some secrecy regarding the names of the former Song Girls on the selection committee this year but can’t you ask around to see who the other athletic department staffer on the committee was?

A: I could ask but a lot of people have been put on notice about mentioning anything about the members of the selection committee so I have to be careful not to get anyone in trouble.

Q: Sarah Carmona (AKA the former Song Girl with the Dong Bong) was at the Song Girl reunion but neither of the coach’s daughters were there. Yes, I know they both live out of state, but doesn’t that seem strange to you? Could it be they were trying to downplay charges of institutional nepotism?

A: I’m sure they had reasonable excuses but who really cared who showed up as long as Tricia Pillsbury was there?

Q: Less than 50 percent of all former Song Girls showed up at Homecoming for what was supposed to be their largest reunion to date, so what’s the deal with that?

A: Perhaps they were as turned off as the fans by playing a winless Washington team.
