Why would USC go after Bryce Brown with the running backs depth good for next year, and there being issues about Bryce Brown. Brown has an assistant/agent Brian Butler, Brown is a guarantee player ready to leave for the NFL in three years, the Reggie Bush scandal still going on, and the O.J. Mayo issue with Rodney Gulliary.
So it seems like this guy has a lot of baggage and despite being a great player he may be standing out from the team. Why would USC have interest in Bryce Brown with so many issues about him and the Bush and Mayo problem still here?

A: If he is the No. 1 tailback in the nation, then any school is interested. Wherever he goes, the school’s responsibility will be to be vigilant. Some at USC were vigilant with O.J. Mayo. Others not so much. But this is big-time college athletics, so you don’t see colleges turning down athletes if they are elite players.
