Pete Carroll said Matt Barkley’s already better at some things than the other USC quarterbacks.
“One of the things young quarterbacks rarely show is anticipation,” he said. “The ball generally comes out late because they are not sure of themselves. Matt hasn’t been like that. He anticipates better than anyone we have. It’s a big asset and a big part of us trusting his ability to make the throws. There’s a lot of things that he does that he does better than any of them already.”
