Q: Thanks for answering my baseball questions the last two weeks. When the great OFFICIAL SCORER comes to write against your name, it’s not whether you won or lost that counts, but only, how did you play the game.
That being said, my question this week is:
Could you give us a little color and background, and maybe a ranking or personal evaluation or thought, about our two latest massive line recruits, DAKOTA SMITH and BRICE SCHWAB?
If you have time, maybe a quick thought or evaluation of our two tight end recruits, XAVIER GRIMBLE and RANDALL TELFER?
Were the two massive linemen highly sought after? [That’s more important to me than the tight end question, both tight ends look great to me] Thank you very much,Scott. /

A: It’s early to give a final word on high school juniors. Dak Smith is a bit of a project. He might develop next year, however, so the jury is out. He is definitely big. But he was not highly recruited at this point. Schwab is good insurance when the depth numbers become an issue next season as the Trojans lose six offensive linemen. He’s a big tackle who will be able to provide cover if Tyron Smith or Matt Kalil or someone else gets hurt.
Grimble is very impressive physically and is similar to Anthony McCoy. Telfer is also very athletic, he just looks like less of a possible lineman or linebacker like Grimble. They are both going to be able to contribute as freshmen.

How could you say you have grown tired of all the Ting questions? Can you really say
you have ever seen any photographs that have provided so much entertainment value and work on so many different levels

A: OK, I’m not tired of them. Keep firing away!
