The Pac-10 has proposed NCAA legislation to eliminate printed media guides as a way to cut costs.
However, the SEC has offered an alternative. Schools would be allowed to print media guides, but could not send them to recruits. That would eliminate all the worthless fluff that gets jammed in just to try and impress a high school kid, like pictures of the weight room or celebrities who attended the school.
“The intent is it would be a media guide,” said SEC associate commissioner Charles Bloom.
We’ll see if the Versus Conference goes along with this proposal.
