There’s been a pseudo-competition at punter when Jake Harfman was always intended to be No. .1, but Saturday’s scrimmage offered some firm stats to ponder: Harfman averaged 39.3 yards on four punts while walk-on Billy O’Malley averaged 34.3 on three punts.
Harfman will handle kickoffs and punts and might do some field goals if the coaches ever get comfortable with the idea of him doing all three.
