Tennessee coach Lane Kiffin was reprimanded by the SEC today.
“This is the second reprimand for Coach Kiffin in this calendar year,” SEC commissioner Mike Slive said. “ Coach Kiffin is on notice that for any further violations of SEC policies will subject him to additional penalties including suspension.”
Here’s a couple comments from Kiffin after the 12-10 loss to Alabama.
On why he ran down the clock before the Tide’s game-winning field goal.
“You run another play and you throw an interception or they throw another flag on us – I wasn’t going to let the refs lose the game for us there and some magical flag appear.”
And then he said this regarding a possible reprimand like Arkansas coach Bobby Petrino the week before.
“I’m sure we’ll get one of those letters that really means nothing as Bobby got last week, but Florida and Alabama live on,” Kiffin said.
