Witness Protection Program

Let’s all agree the defense was unable to stop Stanford. But why does the offense get afforded witness-protection privileges when it comes to honest criticism?
The defense showed up against Arizona State and scored seven points. Where was the offense in that game? Or the second half of the Oregon game? Or the Stanford game? When you turn the ball over four times, it demoralizes the defense. That does not excuse allowing 325 yards of rushing to Stanford.
But it means the offense should be part of the discussion of what ails the program. Yet nary a peep anywhere about the playcalling or anything else.
