The BCS released its revenue distribution today. The Mountain West and WAC took home substantially less than the other conferences with teams in the BCS games. This means that the standard payout information given in bowl listings is a bit misleading, and that, this year, at least, the payouts to the teams playing in the Fiesta Bowl were less than to the teams in the other BCS Bowls.

Conference USA $2.8 million
Mid-American $2.1 million
Sun Belt $1.5 million
Atlantic Coast, Big East, Big 12, Pac-10 — $17.7 million each
Big Ten, Southeastern — $22.2 million each (Note: These two conferences each had two teams in the BCS bowls).
