  1. Charlie – I’ll let you go first in commenting to NIBS. I’m still laughing too hard.

  2. Not bad considering the scoring system used by the Director’s Cup…

USC doesn’t even field 20 sports! and of the 19 that are fielded, 10 of them are Spring Sports

    Men’s
    Baseball (NR)
    Golf (12)
    Swim (13)
    Tennis (3)
    Track (1?)
    Volleyball (6)

    Women’s
    Golf (4)
    Swim (9)
    Tennis (18)
    Track (3?)

It seems that your “observation” lacks objectivity…

  3. right on BRUIN NC!…despite Southern Cal fans’ rather queer refusal to concede program dominance to UCLA, we have been in the top 6 finishers for the Directors Cup for 15 of the 16 years of its existence! with such consistent and sustained excellence through the years, it’s little wonder UCLA has more NCAA Team Natl. Championships (104) than any other school!

even the sports’ Bible, Sports Illustrated, was compelled to state in April of 2005 that “UCLA has the most complete athletic program in the country.”

yeah, SI, tell us something we don’t already know!

NUBS, TC et al: admit Southern Cal isn’t worthy to scrub UCLA’s collective jockstrap…and the Truth will set you free!

  4. No Champs, you’ve got us beat. I just spoke to the powers to be at the Directors Cup. They are now counting attempted RAPE at the schools as well. No doubt about it, Fucla has us beat there! Congrats.

  5. sorry.

    Swimming included in winter

Indoor Track & Field? Seriously? Is that like Indoor Football? Teams that play in domes should have a different NC?

  6. Bucket, NC, Yoda, Rodney, etc:

Remind me, how many of these sports in the athletic program does the sports world actually hear about on a casual basis?

How many people say “HEY! We’re ahead of you in the DIRECTOR’S CUP!”

Oh, none? Just you guys? Oh OK.

Yes that’s right, football (America’s #1 sport), is dominated by USC. The 1 (AND ONLY!) sport that really matters.

I guess you could say college basketball… but Fucla doesn’t have that anymore.

At least you have women’s gymnastics.

  7. NUBS: easy! you bruise too easilly! all ChuckerBucker did was state some simple Directors Cup fun facts, and you fall apart in sections!

and really, does Southern Cal really want to go there? i mean when your entire university’s legacy is tied to the image of OJ Simpson showing the jury his gloved hands, i mean c’mon, i’m just sayin’… =)=)=)

  8. USC National Titles

USC has long dominated the world of intercollegiate athletics. In fact, it could be argued that Troy was the “Collegiate Athletic Program of the 20th Century.”

Trojan men’s teams are tops in the nation in NCAA championships with 75 – more than any other university. And the football team has been voted national champions 11 times. Overall, USC’s men have won 88 national team titles.

USC has won the National Collegiate All-Sports Championship–an annual ranking by USA Today (previously The Knoxville Journal) of the country’s top men’s athletic programs – 6 times (1971-72-74-75-77-80) since its inception in 1971.

USC’s women are also a force, with 22 national team titles, all since 1976.

From 1959-60 to 1984-85, USC put together an amazing streak. In each of those 26 years, at least one Trojan team won a national championship (including five crowns in both 1962-63 and 1976-77).

  9. Sh*t Bucket, OJ actually had, and has, more class than you do. You should have seen what OJ showed your wife! That’s why her smile is SOOOOO wide. Not to mention…oh, nevermind. 8 Clap

  10. Come on, really? You need to respond to these idiots? Seriously, who cares what they think.

And what’s the point of this? Both schools have great sports history. This is a pissing contest that’s not worth it.

  11. How does scoring work for the directors’ cup? Stanford fields more than twice as many teams as USC does.

  12. Lets not argue on a blog fellas…Mike Garrett just gave me access to the men’s basketball locker room AGAIN. Let’s meet up in there and watch Lil Romeo finish washing the towels!! No one offers package scholarships like Southern Cal!

(BTW, SC’s dominance in football is going to be tarnished once the NCAA verdict is announced. Those wooden crates you trOJies are so proudly standing upon are about to explode!)

  13. Rodney, easy man, we don’t want another JonesTown on our hands…Southern Cal is so beat up and desperate right now i don’t know what’s going to happen when the NCAA drops the hammer, could get ugly…which reminds me:

    ***EMERGENCY ALERT***
Rodney, NC, Yo-Duh, CountSmack, NUBS (someone has to wash dishes) you are all on notice of Emergency Meeting i will host at Nadine’s Irish Spring Bar immediately after NCAA sanctions are announced….we will determine what we can do to assist devastated trOJies in their time of sorrow and agony. it will be oh so sugary sweeeeet!!

  14. Nobody has given me the score of the bRuins vs CAL Full. How bad did Fucal beat them? Who goofed? I’ve got to know.

  15. All the comments make me wonder
    a) what kind of critical reasoning they teach at fUCLA
    b) how many aliases Wolf uses to prop himself up
    c) Why wew didn’t listen to conquest and ignore you trolls.

The “Directors cup is a temporary situation that only looks at 14 sports. No wonder Stanford is high. Hell, Jim Plunkett was walking arouns the last time they won anything. We all know how good -LOL- fUCLA is in football and now, gasp, basketball..

Keep your little blue panties on people.
