Corp Update

Aaron Corp was six-for-18 for 44 yards with an interception and no TDs in Richmond’s spring scrimmage. His competition, John Laub was nine-for-16 passing for 92 yards with no interceptions and no TDs.

  1. The coldest part about his situation is he’s probably gonna be the backup at Richmond! And some people on this blog and other media outlets tried to imply Pete mismanaged the QB situation leading up to the UW game instead of just acknowledging Corps NOT THAT GOOD and shouldn’t have even been the backup! Pete messed up by not making Mustain #2 behind Barkley there for making him the starter against UW and we probably win that game.

  2. Agree totally. Corp’s character -or lack thereof- really showed through when he got demoted.

Even though Barkley probably has more promise and poise, Mustain shows so much class and grit, its hard not to pull for him.

We’re not likely to hear to much more about Aaron Corp beyond his days at Richmond.

  3. The other day, I bought two dogs on FarmVille. I named them Barkley and Aaron Corp. When I forgot to feed Aaron Corp, he just ran away. So I bought another dog and named him Mustain. Barkley and Mustain follow me around my farm all day long. They work hard and play hard. They are good dogs.

  4. Come on, guys. Corp gave three years to USC, and wasn’t going to see the field again. I don’t fault the guy for transferring. USC will be fine without him, and hopefully he’ll get it together in Richmond. If he does, it won’t prove anything about he was handled at USC. Same if he doesn’t. Either way, the coaching staff is best qualified to choose a starter, not the media. Only a fool or a sportswriter would maintain otherwise.

    Fight On, Aaron!

  5. “The coaching staff is best qualified to choose a starter, not the media. Only a fool or a sportswriter would maintain otherwise.” Could not have said it better than that JAG, yet some fool spends his days driveling about how the SC staff does what it thinks best instead of what he thinks they ought to. He is indeed a Moron.
