Morning Buzz

Brian Cushing did release a statement over the weekend:
“I was substance-tested randomly by the NFL during the 2009 season. The results of thtests indicated the presence of a non-steroidal banned substance. The League acted to suspend me based on those results, which I challenged in my appeal of the suspension.
“I believe we presented compelling evidence during the appeal process to challenge the test results, and I disagree with and am disappointed by the suspension. Bound by the decision of the League, I regret the situation it presents to the Texans’ organization, my teammates, and our fans. My dedication to a championship season in 2010 continues undeterred.”

  2. Sometimes when I get nervous, I like to scratch my armpits ans then smell my fingers. Super star!!!!

  3. I wonder how pathetic a somebody’s life would have to be and how pathetic their own schools’ “athletic program” must be that they spend their entire day trolling another schools’ blog site. Fight On.

  4. Cush needs to be more forthcoming about this. Unfortunately, if it’s his word against The Shield, The Shield wins. Specifics, such as the substances tested for and found, as well as Cush’s explanations of the results, need to be disclosed so that qualified scientists can weigh in if they like. If specifics can’t be disclosed because of some contractual issue, then Cush needs to make that clear.

It would not surprise me at all if there were a systemic problem with the NFL’s testing that might catch someone who was not using PEDs. But with steroid hysteria, players do not get any benefit of doubt.

  5. I agree with you oneillwatch, but you are giving them exactly what they want, attention. I don’t even read their comments, but now have to weed through the comments from others concerning these idiots.
“If a fucla troll writes something and nobody reads it”
Really, why do you care what these idiots think?

  6. I love the sorry for taking banned substances. Oh, wait, it’s not there, just a weak apology for getting caught and not winning the appeal. Typical Trogan.

  7. Trojan Conquest started the old saying, so let me finish it: “If a bruin writes something on the SC blog and nobody reads it, has it actually been written?”
