Should USC try to add a JC offensive lineman in the next month?
Yes, the depth is a problem No, it’s too late to find someone I’m not sure how the line will do or if it will help

  1. I recall reading that Cregg was actually entertaining the idea of bringing in another recruit, possibly a JC transfer, to add depth on the OL this year. According to Scout.com, there are several unsigned JC players in the class of 2010, including 3-star center Benji Kemoeatu of HI playing JC in PA, 3-star guard Justin Green of KS playing JC in FL, 4-star tackle Elliot Williams of GA, and 3-star tackle Levy Adcock of OK. Would Kiffin really offer a scholarship to one of these guys or somebody else to add depth on the OL this year?

There’s no real depth behind O’Dowd at center. USC has three proven guards and Martinez might be ready to step in. USC has three proven tackles and maybe Henderson will be ready to play this year. O’Dowd’s the key–if he goes down, USC will be dependent on a walk-on. Fortunately, Lewis could always move over to tackle and Graf could always move over to guard if necessary. Nobody seems to think DiPoalo will be ready to play this year, Reardon’s been injured and unimpressive so far, and Coleman’s been injured throughout his time at SC. There’s nobody else. That means USC really only has seven to nine championship-caliber linemen. If USC looses more than one lineman for a few games, the OL situation will become precarious.
