Answer Thursday! (Part 4)

In this segment, a comparison between Pete Carroll and Lane Kiffin.

If Pete Carroll was considered cool, enthusiastic, outgoing, charismatic, and high energy. What is Lane Kiffin, please explain.

A: I would say Kiffin is measured, ambitious, calculating, bright, driven and growing. He’s a lot different than in his first few years at USC. He’s become mature, perhaps because he’s gotten what he wanted professionally and seems less concerned with petty matters. In one conversation, he told me he’s “moved on” and doesn’t “have time” for the petty politics that took place in the past at USC. Now let’s see what happens during the actual season to see if these characteristics remain dominant.

I know of two contributors here that have problems with this site crashing their browsers frequently.

I use IE-8. I struggle with crashes on this site only quite often.

Does anyone else have this problem ON THIS WEBSITE ONLY?
or is it just me and the other person that also has crashing/hangups problems here.

thanks and Fight On

A: I’ve had problems myself with the site lately and I know for awhile I’ve had to reload my browser to get the latest post to show up. I am going to speak to the tech people and see what they say about this. Thanks for the heads up.

  1. I also have problems. Also, see what can be done about the delay. You post something and it takes a long time for it to post. Also, It will say I’m signed in, but then I’ll type something in the comments and send it, and then it will say that I need to log on. Frustrating.

  2. I use Google Chrome and it never crashes on any program I use it for. It seems to be very solid.

  3. I used to have a lot of issues with several sites using IE, this being one of the biggest problem sites. I switched over to using Firefox now and I rarely have issues here or anywhere else now.

  4. Firefox works fine. I think it’s the script for the ads that is causing the problems.

  5. Use IE, my posts have never posted immediately, I have to leave the site and come back later to see it.

  6. Does anyone have software that can filter out all of the ruins from the blog?

  7. I use Chrome and Safari and I get script errors all the time. I think it’s all the flash on the ads that kills it. I’d suggest having the blog only show 1 or 2 days worth of posts to make it load faster
