Morning Buzz

The Pete Carroll book tour starts July 13th in Manhattan (of all places). Not sure how many New Yorkers care about a former USC coach now readying himself for a mediocre NFL career. I might have to attend the July 16th stop at South Coast Plaza in Orange County simply because it’s dubbed, “Lunch with a Legend.”

  1. Wrong yet again. His book tour is not called “Lunch With a Legend”. His book tour is just a regular book tour, with a date that coincides with the ESPN “Lunch With a Legend” series. The series has been going on in LA, highlighting local greats, for around two years. You know this and have probably been to a few of them, but who cares about facts when you can manufacture a sarcastic cheap shot.

If he is, as you assert, “readying himself for a mediocre NFL career”, I’m sure that he’ll be glad that you are there so that you can get him up to speed on the finer points of mediocrity. You do remember that you are the beat reported for the #3 paper in town.

  2. Do you think Michael Thompson will be at that Morton’s event? I still need to get him to sign my Air Force Ones.

  3. sweeeeeet scooop wolf!!!

Cheatey’s ghost writer really earned his money having to translate Cheatey’s stammering jumbled rants into readable form.

hmmm they have pretty good whipped cream pies in the South Coast Plaza i recall…how sugar sweeeeeet would it be if a disembodied cream pie hits Cheatey right in the pie hole during his big speech??

    AUUUUUUUUUUU-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

  4. do you think he would be willing to sign my copy of “Tarnished Heisman?”

  5. Pete wants to give the Jets fans another chance to tell him what a crappy NFL coach he is.
