Acting Like A Manager

A reader sends in this post to inform me that USC baseball coach Chad Kreuter is currently serving as technical adviser to the Brad Pitt-film, “Moneyball,” which is based on the Oakland A’s. Kreuter also plays Rick Peterson, the Oakland A’s pitching coach.
He’s been impersonating a manager at USC for the past few years so this should be easy for him.

  1. Moneyball and The Blind Side, both essential reads for any serious sports enthusiast. I hope Michael Lewis got paid huge for those movie rights. While they made a nice story out of The Blind Side, they left out much of the important stuff and turned Michael Oher into a giant buffoon.

  2. Attention all Trojan students, faculty, staff, admin, day-laborers, whatever, tonight’s the night! Normandie Lord of Zion’s “underground railroad” will be in effect for all y’all who want to escape the bastion of wickedness that is USC.

When the sun goes down, grab your suitcase and report to the Tacos El Unico at Vermont and Adams, and tell the man that you want a “taco de libertad” — we will smuggle you north to a Wilshire Boulevard bus bound for Westwood… and freedom!

    Yes we can!

  3. meanwhile UCLA is recruiting after going to Omaha…but hey no big deal…it’s only been four years since USC has gone to the tournament…no big whoop

  4. So Scott, tells us how you really feel about the Trojan Baseball program? I wonder if your fair-haired AD is going to address this situation… he does say he wants to win, cleanly, but he wants to win. When does he offically begin his AD work? in a few days?

  5. “Moneyball” — that should have been the title of the NCAA’s report on USC’s dirty operations.

  6. and what would have been the title Rob on John Wooden-Sam Gilbert on the UCLA dirty operations?
