  1. Scott, USC has partially appealed the sanctions and will accept partial sanctions of 20 scholarships with an 80 cap in 2011. Unless, miraculously, the appeal is heard and denied by Feb signing day. Futhermore, USC will NOT be down to 55 scholie players. The sanctions are a reduction of 10 per year with a cap of 75. So, USC can and will reload to 75 every season as we are not graduating more than we can add over the next several seasons.

Why do readers have to explain this to you?!?

  2. DWF: i would submit that as the Dean of Southern Cal beat writers, and per Petros “the best beat writer in LA”, that wolf has forgetten more about Southern Cal football than we’ll ever know!

    if wolf says it’s 55 players, then it’s 55!

    AUUUUUUUUU-WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!

  3. And I bet Kiffin has already forgotten more about losing than Coach Rick will ever know!

    Taste it!

  4. Coach Rick is 11-14 leading the Bruins…he obviously knows more about losing than winning.

  5. It must be a prerequisite that all Wolf&Company’s invented personalities:

1- Defend every lame-brained thought he posts…even when he is wrong…which is quite often
2- Use the same insipid style and crap like wolf howls
3- Offer little in the way of actual relevant USC info

At least the idiot(s) who write(s)under the psudonym Charlie Bucket, Yoda, Smackula, et al., could add something of substance.

    This means you Wolf.

  6. Looking for a 4th for bridge. Already have have JK McKay, Petros and Scotty. Need one more guy who thinks he’s funny but isn’t. WestwoodBoob or the “Count”.

  7. Petros is an idiot for aligning himself with Wolf. When people see Wolf coming, most intelligent people run in the other direction.

  8. DFWtrojan–thank you for the clarification. it’s clear tomethat usc will remain for the next few years as a national power including possible national titles. it is also clear tome that when sanctions end the trojans will emerge like a phoenix stronger and actually the strongest and best program in the country. which qb will ride us to the promised land after barkley? wittek? scroggins? kessler?

  9. TC —

The post was about an asinine question which, had Haden answered to Wolf’s satisfaction, Wolf would have used as fodder to attack PC. Haden left Wolf flat-footed when he basically exonerated Carroll with a simple statement.

Notice how Wolf still takes a cheap shot by posting an inference that PC may have been disciplined, yet fails to include the essence of Haden’s direct response: “… Pete had no direct link (to the violations).

Are you surprised that so much of the posting here is trivial? A fish stinks from the head. Raise the level of the content and you might find the discussion follows suit.

  10. i read about this 55 schollie number somewhere else. it’s false. 25+15+15+15=70, would be close to minimum+maybe 10 redshirts from the year previous to the 25.

again, we will remain a titan, and emerge like a phoenix with the living god approving

  11. what’s wrong with wolf howls?

but now back to the topic…what is with Haden’s comment: “I’m looking forward instead of looking backward”??

who is Haden’s PR coach, Mark MacGuire?? Haden: ignore history at your own peril! isn’t that exactly what got Mike Garrett in trouble?? i think he personally rolled out the red carpet to Rodney Guillory!

  12. Only someone with the delusional hubris of Scott Wolf would be so presumptuous as to give football advice to a guy who’s a successful lawyer, won the Rose Bowl, played QB in NFL and is a Rhodes Scholar to top it off.
