You guys suck. Caesarhawks is damned funny. I think it’s so funny that some many commenters here keep coming back to bash Scott for not being a jock licker. There is still a lot to try to understand about Pete Carroll to really figure out what his place in college football history is. His legacy is highly complicated by the Reggie Bush thing, yet he probably was not aware or suspicious of it. Scott’s attention to Carroll gives us more information to sort things out.

Now on to the other Trojan in the preseason….Matt Leinart. If Leinart doesn’t win the starting job, he can blame Beenie Wells. Matt came in with 2 minutes left in the first half and the ball around the 50. He ran a great 2 minute drill. On the last play, Beenie ran up the middle for a first down around the 5, but fumbled and lost the ball. It looked like his knee was down. The Cards would have at least got a field goal. In the 3rd quarter Leinart lead a good drive for a TD, matching Derek Anderson for 1 TD each.
If Matt loses his job in AZ, he may end up in Seattle. Not that we care anymore…it is preseason…and we’re looking forward to Hawaii.

Brothers and sisters, I learned something quite shocking today. USC is going to host Virginia AT THE COLISEUM… ground zero of USC’s cheating football ways! And on September 11, no less!
This is outrageous, that USC football games would be played not just in the same neighborhood, but at the very site of their past transgressions. It is too soon, and it stabs the heart!
I had assumed that USC would have the decency to play its football games somewhere else this year — but instead they are going to play those games at the scene of perhaps the darkest crime in American football history. A crime committed in the name of USC football!
I hope that moderate USC fans will consider the feelings of those of us who in this neighborhood who say, Haven’t we suffered enough? And why is the lame-stream media not on this story?
