Noise Level

Boise State’s victory over Virginia Tech tonight reminded me of something I always heard from USC players and Coach Pete Carroll.
For several years after the Trojans beat Virginia Tech at FedEx Field in 2004, that was always the game referred to as the loudest anyone experienced.
If fact, Carroll considered it the loudest game of his USC career.

  1. I didn’t make to that game but at a couple of points in the fourth quarter at Ohio State last year, my eardrums hurt, like when your too close to the speakers at a rock and roll concert.

  2. Beamer’s team blew it. Boise State almost choked on #10 and is way overrated. They’ll lose eventually.

  3. Boise State flew to a 17-0 lead in the 1st, then things got interesting.
The defense made the stops when they had to.
Kellen Moore led a terrific game-winning drive.
If Boise State’s performance wasn’t worthy of title game consideration, not sure what is.
Only upset I can see is Oregon State beating them on September 25.
I’ll root for them if they get past the Beavers.
If not (and no other teams go undefeated), let’s go 13-0 Trojans and aim for that AP title!
Something UCLA fans will laugh at, only because they can’t do it themselves.
    Fight on!

  4. Anybody see the nike pro combat unis on VT and Boise ST? I’ll probably get killed for saying this but we should wear ours one game!

  5. @NOBS, I thought about that one, too. It was surprisingly loud. I was pretty high up at both ASU (what was that 96?) and Ohio State, and I think Ohio State was louder.

  6. I wasn’t at Ohio State so you may be right. But it was loud at ASU that’s for sure. Oregon is pretty close.

  7. I haven’t had the oppotunity to go to Oregon or Washington. But one of these days, I will.
