Lane Kiffin admitted he thought of going to his 2007 Rose Bowl game plan against Michigan, when John David Booty threw passes on 27 of 29 plays.
“Yeah, I did,” Kiffin said. “But it’s too early in the year to do that. That’s the Rose Bowl. It’s not a good world to get into.”

I was back in LA for that RB and managed to get a ticket. If I remember right, the first half was a slugfest and Carr sent his kickers out to warm up a bit before the 2nd half got started. But Kiffin opened up the playbook and Booty started flinging passes up and down the field. Great game.
