Cornerback Nickell Robey received honorable mention selection for the Jim Thorpe Award this week.

I’m reposting the answers to the last forum questions from last week because it was orginally posted very early this morning.
Lane Kiffin was asked if he could use any of Nebraska’s game plan to shut down Washington quarterback Jake Locker.
“If you can put six DB’s on the field that run 4.4,” Kiffin said. “That’s something with our personnel we don’t have the ability to do.”
Lane Kiffin said this morning that he sent text messages to Washington coach Steve Sarkisian, who did not respond. Kiffin said tonight Sarkisian responded:
“He told me (Jake) Locker got hurt and is out for the game,” Kiffin said.
Cal announced today that it dropped baseball. Maybe they called USC for advice since it dropped baseball four years ago.
Four of the top 10 coaches on the hot seat (coacheshot.com) play USC this year. Minnesota, Washington State, Hawaii and Arizona State are the targets. No wonder Lane Kiffin said he doubted his predecessors at USC played as easy a schedule the first four games.
Lane Kiffin said this morning he sent text messages to Steve Sarkisian but Sarkisian is not responding.
“He’s not responding. I’m not sure what trick he is up to,” Kiffin said. “Maybe he is trying to show how busy he is.”
