Night Games

UCLA announced that the USC game will kick off at 7:30 p.m. at the Rose Bowl. Here we go again with a second straight crosstown rivalry played on a cold night in late November/early December. Bet you can’t wait.

  1. This sucks! It would be nice if this game could become relevant again and be played during the day on ABC. Trolls, you got your wish. USC and UCLA are getting closer, unfortunately it’s USC coming down towards UCLA, instead of UCLA coming up to USC. We got the home jerseys for both teams, now we need to get the rest of the game to be like it used to be.

  2. well, many trogans said it’d be a cold day in hell before the bruins beat them – it’s setting up nicely now.

  3. At least the Coliseum has actual seats with back rests and arms. I hate the benches in the end zones at the rose bowl.

  4. wonderful – last year i did not get out of the parking structure near grand and jefferson until almost 1am. this year i won’t have the benefit i did last year – not having to deal with bruin fans. none were there.

  5. Except for a nationally televised game at 5:00 and some Sept. games, all games should be during the day, especially at this time of the year. This makes no sense.

  6. Spedophile, I don’t know why you have to trash the Rose Bowl. I wouldn’t call it Hell. For years it’s been our New Years Day destination. See your local Trojan for a tour. Things look different there on New Years Day. Wouldn’t want you to get lost.

  7. $uckafree must have CRUSHED his SATs…. I think you meant that Trogans are to Bruins as Lakers are to Clippers. HAHA, dumb ON!

  8. @MickyMunoz,
The Ant ain’t living in the past, I do believe we spent the Holidays at our winter vacation home just laat Jan. 2, 2009.

  9. @spedjones: Not so fast. $uckafree’s analogy pairing was correct, and so is yours. Everyone gets a trophy!

  10. It’s a sad day in troganville when a bruin has to help trogans with their own bruin burns.

  11. @spedjones, it is a sad day indeed. However, what is even more lamentable for them is that we have been intellectually superior to our Trogan challengers every day of every month of each and every year; so much so that we require a better rival in the L.A area.
I wish Cal Tech had a truly competitive sports program to speak of. After all, Cal Tech already has a history of great sports pranks…that’s a good start.
