  1. LSU’s stunning upset of Lousiana Monroe must have vaulted them ahead of Stanford, but then again that stunning home trouncing of San Diego St earns the Horned Frogs a shot at the NC also? I’m totally surprised that he hasn’t signified the Domers rousing trouncing of Utah by a slot in this group too.

Why you get a vote in this poll clearly confuses me Wolfie….

    Fight On

  2. Grrrrrrr. Every week, some moron holds Wolf’s vote to the previous week’s composite result. That’s silly. You have to compare it to Wolf’s vote last week, not the poll result. There is absolutely no value in having a poll if the voters slot teams based on the results of the previous week’s polls. What you get is lockstep agreement that can sputter terribly out of control — group think if you will. To get “hive mind”, each bee in the hive has to call it as they see it, with the aggregate being a close approximation to truth.

  3. Wolf – If you are trying to look like a contrarian maverick, you are failing miserably. You just look stupid.

You’re early season #1 pick –the losing Longhorns– have dropped four straight and now sit at 4-6.

The Horny Toads’ defense was unmasked this week by the SAN DIEGO STATE Aztecs!! Does anyone even know that SDSU plays football? The only two significant teams that TCU has played all year have been exposed as mediocre at best; Oregon State is 4-5 and Utah –another over-rated pretender feasting on a cream puff schedule– was waylaid by NUETERED DAME this week.

Despite much reasonable evidence and everyone else on the planet dropping TCU under the over-rated Boise Buckos, the Daily News’ charter member of the Hair Club decides to place TCU at the top of the pile.

Nice pick Wolf. You really know your college football.

  5. Find it interesting that everyone thinks Wisconsin is wonderful and Michigan State is not, yet MSU defeated Wisconsin, yet our balding wunderkind chimes in like all the rest with their love of all things Madison.
And similarly, did anyone watch Texas A&M handle Okie ass a couple of weeks ago, yet there the okies are at #11 while the Aggies are #18.
    Curious and curiouser!

  6. TrojanRick — SC should easily be in top 20 right now. I’d take us even money against the Broncos or the Horny Toads. Fight On!

  7. things are looking up — USC is now better than Temple

    Ducks are clearly #1

Auburn simply has more left in the tank at end of games when playing the SEC schedule and Cam Newton is far and away, the best college player this season

Wart toads played down to the level of their competition, so that may be an idicator of where the really are

Donkeys are the great unknown – they still haven’t played anybody

In the next week or so, Boise & tcu should drop below some one loss teams due to lack of sos

I think neb & furd would beat those teams

  8. I had to laugh when I looked at this week’s release of the AP Top 25 because there is one lone moron who voted TCU as #1. Anyone want to guess who that is? ROFLMAO

  9. Free_Thinker

You did not read the post above very well.

Yes, our reliable scribe even got a bit more with the program, and changed his ranking this week.

  10. Trojan Rick — My apologies to you. You’re correct. I did read it wrong. Guess I am accustomed to reading his stupid ballot and jumped the gun.

Wolf is still a doofus. Now he’ll slowly try to dig out by lowering TCU gradually. Would be funny if the Horny Toads lose to NM State next week.

  11. Lets get real. We all know that the AP ranking is a joke. Hell, Scott even has a vote. All of the other computer and human rankings have been exposed as crap too by Dan Wetzels Death to the BCS.

The only accurate ranking is Jeff Sagarins computer ranking. God bless, Jeff Sagarin: http://www.usatoday.com/sports/sagarin/fbt10.htm

    1) Oregon
    2) Stanford
    14) USC

  12. DFW – those rankings make a lot more sense

But still don’t see why everybody is so high up on Alabama & LSU

To be a top team, you need more than just good players – you have to execute all phases of the game the vast majority of the time

Don’t be suprised to see Auburn light it up against Alabama – and LSU barely squeeked by Tennessee

Isn’t if funny (its not) that when SEC teams play close games, the loser is still ranked way up there because they lost to such a good team.

And when Pac10 teams play close games, the loser gets dropped way down low (or out of the polls) and the winner gets little to no recognition?
