USC v. UCLA

We will let the commenters have fun today in this space. Maybe they can debate who/when UCLA will hire a defensive coordinator after Rocky Seto’s elimination from consideration.

  1. Aside from the fact that ucla dropped football, how about answering the questions from more than a week ago Wolf.

  2. Gee whiz, I cannot think of a thing to say about, or to, ucla or the frequent bruin posters on this blog.

Is this apathy the result of irrelevance?

  3. Until the administration rids itself of an AD who is hopelessly clueless about football & and what the head coach he hired has and is doing today,RIP UCLA for your football program is the absolute laughing stock of most if not all of college football… and it will only get worse if you keep these two in their current positions.

  4. I’ve always contended that I would like for both USC and UCLA to be relevant in football. It would be great if the rivalry game was for national prominance.
Question?……….Since UCLA and USC recruit the same area, and get most of their players from Southern California, is there enough good players to go around if UCLA was on the level of USC? This is probably the main reason I want UCLA to suck so bad. Losing big recruits to them would almost be as bad as losing the game to them.

  5. Dtksr1 is right; UCLA football is in shambles. This seems to be a general perception about UCLA. Its not uncommon to hear a sports commentator remark that beating UCLA doesnt mean anything, or x team shouldnt lose to UCLA. In fact, its hurt USCs strength of schedule in recent past seasons. And, I have to believe their lack of success with their recruiting class reflects uclas punching-bag status.

    Here’s one to ponder:

When ucla plays San Jose State this year, which one is considered to be the cupcake?

  6. Wolfie, this is an interesting situation this year. It is officially the offseason yet the perennial Champions of the Offseason bruins are nowhere to be seen. Normally they are flooding the comments about how this is the year they will turn the tide, yada, yada, yada. The fact that their football program is officially the laughingstock of the nation must really have them down. Sucks to be a bruin.

  7. I like Mark Sanchez but really, a seventeen year old? I dont give a rats ass if it is legal in NY. Dude is from Cali he knows that shit is just GROSS!SMH hope he wore a trojan hahahahahahah!

  8. bRuinB!tch, sorry, I didn’t know your daughter was 17. But she was good, or so says my dog.

  9. wolfman, this is bordering on sadism…setting up a war of wits between the punch-less Nattering Nabobs and the forces of the Cadre!! it’s like Don Knotts (trOXans) going up against Clubber Lang (Bruins)!!!

  10. Chuckster, you have the flupull a hamstringwhat?! I can almost hear the sad sound of a rapidly deflating balloon.

Im serious, I was somewhat looking forward to one of your rants. That was underwhelming.

  11. ZOV: sorry, i did kind of have the sniffles yesterday.

like all great champions, i am sometimes guilty of playing down to the competition.

  12. Can we all agree that there are THREE major sports? and in those 3 major sports they are dominated by:
USC in Football – for obvious reason, they’ve won 11 of the 12 games between the two schools.

UCLA in Basketball – better record, and 2nd in Pac-10
and won the most recent game played between the two schools.

UCLA in Baseball – they’ve won the season series between the two school the last two years and they are the pre-season #1 team in the country.

It’s very simple folks, UCLA has a better team in two of the three major sports…so enough of bull crap posted by some of you that seem to think that UCLA only dominates in: gymnastics, softball, women’s water polo etc. etc.

There you have it folks, I hope we can all agree that on why UCLA is the superior school, not only academically but also athletically.

  13. Fucla in BASEBALL? ROFLMAO How many NC’s do you have?

But I think we can all agree that you are a MORON…..Baseball is better at Fucla…still ROFLMAO

  14. No we can’t agree that there are three major collrge sports. While baseball is number three, it is a distant third, nowhere near football and basketball.
Even with that you attempt to claim superiority because ucla lost the final of the cws last year and are still looking for their first title.
And since when does winning one of the last four basketball games mean superiority?

    Nice try though.

  15. Jethro, sadly, Fucla is superior to SC in Basketball. Scale of 1-10, bRuins a 9 (all-time), we are a 2.

    Football, SC a 10, Fucla a 2

    Baseball, SC a 9.5, Fucla a 4

That’s my opinion. Now for the alumni rating,

    SC a 10+, Fucla a 1.5

    However, bRuinB00b is a ZERO.

  16. Nobs, I’m just using his logic against him which is too easy. If you go by either overall or recent history they lose two of the three.

  17. I know. I with you. These bRuin trolls are a kick. BTW, Jethro, have you gone on to the Bruin Blog lately? Didn’t think so. Me neither. Waste of time.

  18. @KNOBBED and Jethro, suuuuuuure you don’t visit the UCLA blogs. At least when we visit your blogs we don’t post with other names like you losers do, pretending to be Bruin fans calling for RN’s head, or posting as “anon”, hilarious.

  19. Never posted once there Robby. I didn’t know your real names were Charlie Bucket, Yoda, Count etc. Very odd.
