Sendek Endorses USC

Arizona State coach Herb Sendek endorsed USC’s NCAA Tournament hopes Saturday night.
“They are certainly good enough to be an NCAA team,” Sendek said. “The Pac-10 doesn’t get enough credit and they aren’t getting enough credit.”

The only ranked Pac 10 team just got swept and Herb thinks the conference deserves more than 3 tournament teams? He can’t be serious. The upside is that SC has as agod a chance as any other team to win the Pac 10 tournament and get the automatic bid given the mediocrity of the 3 teams above it and the fact its a home game for them. This may be the weakest Pac 10 conference talentwise since the early 80s. There’s no Mayo, Love, Roy or Hardin in the bunch.

  • On a serious note, USC does deserve to be in the tournament, they will have beaten three ranked teams, Texas, Arizona, and UCLA (I’m sure the Bruins will be ranked tomorrow).
