Kansas, North Carolina, Duke On Schedule
USC’s basketball schedule includes a game against Kansas at Wichita, Kan., a game against North Carolina in the UNLV Tournament and is close to securing a game at Duke.
Stepheson Honor
USC forward Alex Stepheson was selected to play in the NABC Senior All-Star game this weekend at the Final Four in Houston.
Morning Buzz
We hear rumblings that the Baby Quarterback (David Sills) might transfer to Mater Dei or Oaks Christian next season.
All-American Team
The “prestigious” GoDaddy.com All-American team is out and USC safety T.J. McDonald is a third-team pick. Quarterback Matt Barkley and Robert Woods (as a kick returner) made the honorable mention.
USC 6, UCLA 2
Ricky Oropesa’s five RBI and home run led the Trojans while Logan Odom allowed only one run in seven innings and struck out seven. USC is 9-15 overall and 1-2 in the Pac-10.
USC 87, Colorado 70
The Trojans routed the Buffaloes in the quarterfinals of the women’s NIT. Ashley Corral made seven 3-pointers and scored 32 points. USC now travels to Illinois State for a semifinal game. That’s not quite like going to New York for the men’s NIT semifinals.
USC 6, UCLA 1
The Trojans increased their lead and it’s the bottom of the eighth inning.
