Can you give us a list of the USC baseball commits and some background on where they might be drafted? And do you think the recruiting will be affected by USC having a coach with the interim tag. Sorry for 2 questions.

A: USC just received commitments from Villa Park pitcher Wyatt Strahan who is 4-1 with a 1.20 ERA, and is batting .317 with three home runs. They also received a commitment from
Brooks Kriske, a junior pitcher from Palm Desert who is 12-2 the past two seasons.
USC previously received a commitment from infielder-pitcher Rio Ruiz of Bishop Amat, who is also a junior. Ruiz will probably never come to USC because of his draft prospects. Strahan is probably a good bet to end up at USC.

Will Reggie Bush’s legacy be as the player who unnecessarily put SC on 3 year probation by arrogantly refusing to settle with Lloyd Lake or the who player who forced the NCAA to create “the Reggie Bush rule” to penalize players who taunt before crossing the goal line?

A: He will always be the guy who broke NCAA rules and put USC on probation through his arrogance regarding the Lake case.

Do you see the fact that the NCAA is taking this long to announce the ruling on the appeal as a good or bad sign in terms of USC’s chances of winning the appeal?

A: I actually view it as a good sign because maybe the NCAA is actually trying to figure out some sort of compromise. A quick decision might have been to just deny the appeal.
