Perhaps our pressure paid off as Lane Kiffin just released a depth chart. He only needed three days since spring practice ended.

Unanswered Question
This spring showed USC’s defense often at its best, whether or not the offense posed much of a challenge. But the bigger question is how the defense will perform in the Pac-12. Not against the Minnesotas of the world, but the spread offenses that you need to stop to win titles.
Again, I will point to a question posed by an NFL coach who watched USC on film last season: “Does the defense account for the quarterback? It didn’t last season.”
We won’t know until the fall.
More Draft
Tight end Jordan Cameron is the 59th-best prospect in the draft according to this chart.
Draft Odds
Here’s the odds from Bodog.com on who will be selected with the ninth pick in the NFL Draft?
Tyron Smith (OT USC) 2/3
Prince Amukamara (CB Nebraska) 5/2
Anthony Castonzo (OL Boston College) 9/2
Cameron Jordan (DL California) 6/1
I like this question better: Who will have more correct picks in their mock draft?
Mel Kiper Jr. (ESPN) -120
Todd McShay (ESPN) -120
Mock Update
Offensive tackle Tyron Smith still seems to be holding between either the ninth pick (Cowboys) and 13th pick (Lions) in most mock drafts. Meanwhile, linebacker Malcolm Smith visited the New York Jets last week.
Recovery Time
Tailback D.J. Morgan’s knee bothered him through the spring and his shoulder hurt at the conclusion of drills. But he’s still probably going to run in Sunday’s dual track meet against UCLA at Cromwell Field.
Morning Buzz
Here’s my look at the good and bad from spring practice.
Fullback Solution
With USC so shorthanded at fullback, here’s a suggestion. How about giving incoming freshman linebacker Tre Madden a try at the spot. He’s got good size (6-feet, 220 pounds) is used to being a physical player and rushed for 300 yards last season. Plus his father played fullback at Kansas State, so that’s always worth something.
The List
Here’s an interesting chart on what Pac-10 athletic departments receive in student fees. USC’s athletic dept. is self-sufficient and does not receive any student fees.
Spring Crowds
Here’s where USC fits into a list of spring football game attendances.
